There are majorly two type of lens according to the utility:

• Photography Lens
• Cinema Lens

Note: Photography lens are cheaper than cinema lenses.

There are two main types:

ZOOM LENS

PRIME LENS

Prime lenses, on the other hand, have a fixed focal length, meaning that you cannot zoom in or out. However, what they lack in flexibility, they make up for in image quality. Prime lenses are usually lighter and more compact than zoom lenses, which makes them great for street photography, portrait photography, and low light situations. They also offer wider maximum apertures than zoom lenses, which allows for a shallower depth of field and better bokeh.

2. Focal Length: Different lenses have different focal lengths, which determines how much of a scene is captured in the frame. Wide-angle lenses, for example, capture a wider field of view, allowing more of the scene to be included in the frame, while telephoto lenses capture a narrower field of view, allowing for a more close-up and intimate look.
3. Image Quality: Different lenses can produce different image qualities, such as sharpness, distortion, and color reproduction, it’s crucial to choose the right lens to match the needs of the scene and the desired aesthetic.
4. Special Effect Lenses: Some lenses are specifically designed to create special effects, such as tilt-shift lenses, which allow for selective focus, or fisheye.
